Margaret Bergmann-Ness, MA, LICSW, and Leslie Butterfield, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist,Chairwoman, Postpartum Support International of WA State, will speak to us about Perinatal Mood Disorders. These two therapists will each present on their approaches to working with perinatal mood disorders (PMDs) and share examples from their work to help postpartum doulas better understand how what symptoms may be manifestations of PMDs, what the recovery process may look like, and gain a better understanding of the difference between the non-clinical support a doula offers and professional mental health care.
